Why does the Democratic Party continue to hide their heads in the sand? - Letter to the Editor of the Shreveport Times, LA

A friend in Louisiana sent the following letter to the Editor of his local newspaper.  I agree with him completely. I wish more Americans would wake up.

To The Editor of The Shreveport Times

Our way of life and country’s real problem is not those that attack us.It is those of us that choose to ignore, placate, coddle, and refuse to condemn the actions of those that attack us.

It is a deplorable thing to witness, that for no other reason other than to avoid losing a voting block of those of Islamic faith, the leaders of the Democratic Party, as well as the media, go to extreme lengths to avoid recognizing the most recent incidents as terrorist attacks against our citizens and country.

Instead they blame a movie for the cause of the “hostility” towards Americans. What a weak principle to stand on.

When the National Endowment for the Arts funded Andres Serrano‘s “work of art”, the Crucifix of Jesus Christ in a bottle of urine, where was the outrage of the Democrats, supporting the Catholic Church and denouncing the work.

The only representatives that spoke up were Republicans Jesse Helms and Al  D’Amato. It may have been a factor in Rudy Giuliani’s decision to become a Republican. He also denounced it, in fact sued the museum to attempt to stop the presentation.

However, they did not ask Republicans to go out and murder the artists and their associates.

This abomination also won 1^st place “Award in Visual Arts” given by the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art. Imagine that. 

Do you remember the Virgin Mary painting using elephant dung, explained to us imbeciles that do not appreciate true art, as an “artistic use of textures”? 

Would Hillary Clinton please address those issues as she has pertaining to an obscure movie made by a private citizen, seen only on the internet?  Would Eric Holder please investigate the financial dealings of the artists, museums, and benefactors of both, involved in the above mentioned “works of art”.

What if those same artists used Mohammed instead of Jesus and Mary?

The failure to face truth and reality, for any reason, will cause our destruction.

Presently the media and the Democratic Party are engaging in placating people whose goal is to bring the world back to the barbaric times of the 4^th century where women are chattel and a barbaric religion rules everyone’s lives.

Considering the liberal point of view concerning “life choices” it is a mystery as to why they cannot see that their way of life is not tolerated by this barbaric theology. I ask that everyone reading this educate yourselves to the history concerning “Freedom of speech and blasphemy”, by going to Wikipedia online.

There you will find that only in Britain, Australia and even France, did private citizens do anything violent about these “works of art”, and they were perpetrated upon the art pieces only, not on the humans responsible.

However, you will also find that “art, publications and history” considered objectionable to Islam is met with a Fatwa, issued by an Imam, a holy man of Islam calling for the death of the people responsible not just for the work itself but also for those responsible for presenting it to the public.

There are scores of murders committed in recent history worldwide due to these Fatwa’s.

Why does the Democratic Party continue to hide their heads in the sand? Why is it so difficult for the present administration and the Democratic Party to say that these beliefs are not acceptable in today’s society?

Failure to denounce it is accepting it.

I pray that Christian Democrats consider this when voting this November.

We are being Attacked with acts of War and what does Obama do?

I don't even know where to begin. I woke up this morning with the news of yet another Act of War being waged against America in Yemen.  To even pretend to believe this is over a movie that insults a group of people is beneath contempt.  It may be an excuse but it isn't the reason.

The Reason is THEY HATE US and they won't stop hating us. Not under any circumstances will these people stop hating us. No matter how much Obama pussyfoots around with them with conciliatory remarks or bows to them or tries to make nice. No matter if he hands them over a Billion dollars of OUR Hard earned money. They will still hate us. They want us dead. You can't make that pretty. And you can't make it 'a crime' - It Is an Act of War.

Let's see what Obama has to say about it. How did he STAND for America?

U.S. President Barack Obama spoke with Morsy on Wednesday "to review the strategic partnership between the United States and Egypt, and our ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral economic and security cooperation," the White House said in a statement early Thursday.

During the call, the statement said, Obama told Morsy that "he rejects efforts to denigrate Islam, but underscored that there is never any justification for violence against innocents and acts that endanger American personnel and facilities."

Morsy "expressed his condolences for the tragic loss of American life in Libya and emphasized that Egypt would honor its obligation to ensure the safety of American personnel," according to the White House statement.

The Cairo incident was not nearly as bad as the violence in neighboring Libya, where an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi killed four Americans, including Stevens. A pro-al Qaeda group was to blame for that attack, according to sources tracking militant groups in the region.

In his statement, Morsy called on Egyptian diplomats in Washington "to take legal action against those people who seek to ruin relationships and discussions between people and countries."

Obama wants to continue to strengthen ECONOMIC partnership? Excuse me but I don't see any funds coming this way from Egypt. I only see us supporting THEIR economic needs. 

Then we have our people killed in Libya in the Acts of War committed against us there and what is the BIG news? Not that Obama has no clue how to deal with this but, of course he is very skilled at appearing on Talk Shows while the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu is requesting a meeting to discuss what is going on the in Iran and the Middle east and the threats against Israel. Our ONLY Ally in that region where our country is being attacked and Obama Snubs him.  The Big news isn't that Obama is ineffectual as a Leader the big news is that Mitt Romney had something to say about it.  The news isn't what Romney said, NO, the BIG NEWS is that Romney Dared to say something against Obama's handling of this crisis.

And yes it is a Crisis... If you are not afraid of what this is leading to God bless you because I am scared Silly that we are in this crisis and the leader of the American People has not bothered to attend an intelligence meeting since September 5th.  Of course this falls in line with his lazy attitude about attending intelligence briefings.  Would you expect that our president would spend at least as much effort to make intelligence briefings as he does to play golf? Wouldn't you expect our President to at the very least be very diligent about potential threats during the week leading up to the anniversary of 9/11.  No... Not so much with this President.

During his first 1,225 days in office, Obama attended his PDB just 536 times -- or 43.8 percent of the time. During 2011 and the first half of 2012, his attendance became even less frequent -- falling to just over 38 percent. By contrast, Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush almost never missed his daily intelligence meeting.

Obama makes me afraid... very afraid on so many levels in so many areas. 

Where will be attacked next? Because it is coming. Our enemies have no reason to fear us. The President has made sure of that.

Signaling a new low in U.S.-Israeli relations -- especially troubling with a possible major war in the Middle East so close at hand -- President Obama turned down two possibilities for a personal meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when the Israeli premier comes to the U.S. later this month. Obama aides say the President simply doesn't have time on his schedule for Netanyahu. The President reportedly will have time to appear on "The Late Show" with David Letterman while he's in New York, however. A Wall Street Journal editorial on Wednesday morning said the White House message to Israel seems to be, "You're on your own, pal." 

In some of his strongest comments to date (comments that struck me as suggesting the Israeli leader may be so fed up with the White House that he is to go it alone against Iran), Netanyahu told reporters on Tuesday that because the international community refuses to set "red lines" for Iran's nuclear program or even a deadline for diplomacy and economic sanctions to be effective or be terminated, the world has "no moral right" to tell the Israeli government it cannot take military action to defend her people. 

Tonight, at the opening of the 2012 Epicenter Conference, I will speak on the "State of the Epicenter," discuss the implications of these tensions between the American and Israeli leaders, and analyze how close Israel and Iran are to an actual war. ABC News reports: "An Israeli official told ABC News that Netanyahu's office requested a meeting with Obama but was told that because of the president's tight schedule it wouldn't be possible. The official admitted that with just a day and a half open, the window wasn't very big, although the official said the Israelis did offer to go to Washington if a meeting in New York was not possible. The meeting was requested when the trip was made official more than a week ago and was declined "in the last few days," according to the Israeli official. This will be the first time Netanyahu has visited the United States as prime minister and not met with Obama." 

"Netanyahu is traveling to the U.S. to attend the U.N. General Assembly. Obama is expected to address the UNGA on September 25, while Netanyahu will speak in New York on September 28," reports Ynet News. 

This is very disturbing behavior for an American President who says that America "will always have Israel's back" and claims Israel is one of America's "greatest allies." The President should always make time for an ally facing the growing threat of a nuclear holocaust.

9/11/2001

Today many will be remembering where they were and what they were doing. I am sure I will as well. But not here but not here. Here today, it isn't about me or how it impacted me.

It is about the Dead.

Today I remember those who died in those Towers, and in The Pentagon and on that field in Pennsylvania and all the first responders who died trying to save others and how it impacted their families and loved ones.

I received an email today from Sean Bielat, seeking donations. I had not heard of him so I did what I usually do and wish more people would. I started researching. I liked what I found. I believe he subscribes to our founders vision of those who SERVE US.  He doesn't look at serving in congress as a lifelong career but as a way to step up and serve. He is running against Joe Kennedy of the Kennedy Political Dynasty. I am sick to death of Political Dynasties. People who want to be elected not to go to congress and serve and then return home to be a working viable member of their community. No... The Kennedys go to DC to further their Political Washington Career as a Power seeking Politician. Not as a servant to the people. Testament look at Ed Kennedy, even after he killed a young girl while driving drunk preparing to cheat on his young wife he got a pass for the rest of his life. We DO NOT NEED another Kennedy. They just want Power to hold, Not to server you but to serve their family dynasty and their own ego and power.

Now I am next to broke, if you follow this blog at all will know that much about me, but I am going to send him 3.00. Even I can afford that. It is less than a tank of gas under Obama.

You can tell a lot by the motives of someone by looking at how consistent they are. In order to get into the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC, you will need an ID. Why can’t Democrat voters be trusted to enter a convention that’s for Democrats? Why would they lie about who they are?

A Democrat official will most likely say that IDs are necessary because of party crashers. Maybe some Republicans, Libertarians, or Independents will try to come in and disrupt the convention. This is a very good argument for the necessity of IDs for the convention. But it leaves a couple of things unanswered.

First, isn’t it a hardship on some people to get an ID? Isn’t this a standard argument sued by Liberals on why it’s unconstitutional improper to ask for an ID at the voting booth? If it’s not a hardship in one place (the convention), then it’s not a hardship in another place (the voting booth).

Second, the very nature of an election is to get your guy elected. Some people are unscrupulous in that they will do anything to ensure their candidate wins. This will mean sabotaging an election by voting multiple times or using the names and addresses of dead people to flood the ballot box with extra votes.

“An anti-voter fraud group says it has discovered 30,000 dead folks registered to vote across North Carolina. The group collected the names by comparing death records from the past decade to voter rolls; it says the figure would have been bigger had the group had access to death records in neighboring states.”

While not all these dead voters’ names are implicated in voter fraud, it’s not beyond the realm of possibilities that they could be. Without a proper ID, how would anyone know if a person was using a deceased registered voter as a way to boost the number of votes for one political party over the other? They wouldn’t.

The following is from the Charlotte Observer:

“Mainly, what we’re concerned about is the potential [for fraud],” said project director Jay DeLancy. “Since there is no voter ID law in North Carolina, anybody can walk in and claim to be anyone else.”

Liberals are so intent on blocking voter ID requirements because they know that their fellow-liberals are some of the biggest voter-cheats. They wouldn’t cash a check given to them by someone claiming to be the person the check is made out to, but they’re willing to look the other way for the potential of voter fraud in order put people in office who write checks to keep the wealth distributors in office.

I Want a Job! - Ranting Ramble

The labor market has shrunk from 65.7% to just 58.6% in President Obama’s first term.  The U6 “real unemployment” number now sits at 14.9%.  Black unemployment is at 14.4%.  Unemployment for young college graduates is 16.8%.

In 2008 I was working at a job I loved, living in a city I loved. In 2009, I was out of work and unable to afford to pay rent and live in New York City.  I was making a decent living doing what I loved and then Obama came into Office. Is he directly responsible? I think so. When the the job I was working downsized I immediately sought out a new position as an Executive Assistant. For the first time in my life I was unable to find work. ANY Kind of work that would enable me to keep my apartment.  It wasn't that I was picky or thought I was too good for some sort of work.  I have always believed I am not defined by my job, rather I am defined by HOW I do my job. But there was nothing that was enough to pay rent and continue to live in the city I loved.

Thank God for my family. I gave away everything I owned because I simply couldn't afford to move it somewhere. Granted it wasn't much, I had lost everything I owned during Katrina in 2005 and what I had replaced was in storage in northern LA.  Times had been really tough after Katrina and I had been thrilled by the opportunity to move back to New York City again and work as an executive assistant at a major bank.  I felt blessed that my life was back on track and then came the beginning of Obama's blight on our country. No matter how bad the economy had been before I still was always able to find a job. I am an excellent employee. I have a work ethic that has always served me and my employers well. But there just wasn't anything to grab hold of. So my wonderful Aunt offered for me to come live with her in West VA...

It took almost six months but I did find a job at $9.17 an hour working for AT&T at one of their call centers. However, it was still not enough to move into my own apartment and while I continued to try to find employment in a position where I could put to use my 30 plus years of experience the economy was even worse by then.

I really don't want much. I just want to be able to NOT live off of someone else. To have my own small apartment and be independent and not a burden to anyone.  I did NOT in any of that time claim unemployment or welfare or foodstamps or any other government subsidy.  Am I hard-headed and prideful, perhaps but it just seems wrong to fall prey to living off the government. I am healthy, I am an excellent worker, I have a value in the workplace. There is NO good reason for someone else's sweat to be drained away to support me... Except, that is exactly what is happening... My family pays the price not my fellow citizens and it is hard to bear at times.

My younger sister and her amazing husband live outside Richmond, VA.  A bigger job market than a small town in West VA. They offered their home and help so over a year ago I moved here in the hopes of finding a job that paid a living wage. Meaning a wage where a person is able to rent a small apartment, feed themselves and not drain anyone else.  Almost a year passed by before I was able to find anything and it doesn't pay a living wage but it does pay enough that my sister and her husband are not paying my car insurance, and storage fees for the few things that I own still in storage in LA. They did cover this for almost exactly a full year.  Now I am a hostess and bartender for a tavern in Colonial Williamsburg at 10.00 an hour  and only 30 hours a week. It is a service bar position so it isn't supplemented by tips. It isn't enough to rent an apartment.  I also drive 62 miles each way just to go to this job but I was not about to turn down any job. And with the crazy increase in gas that costs me 100.00 a week in gas.  My bi-weekly pay check is usually around 525.00 minus the 200.00 for gas I am left with around 325.00 or 750.00 a month.  And I feel blessed to have that job. BUT...

I want a position that pays me a living wage... I WANT to work and work hard.  In the four years Obama has been in office I went from making 70,000 when he came into office to being unemployed for two of the four years he has been in office and underemployed for the other two.

I am joined in this by 28 million other Americans. If you are one of the 28 Million Americans like me who Is NOT doing better under Obama, or if you know or love one of us please help, not by paying higher taxes but rather....

Please vote Romney/Ryan in November.

I really want a position that pays a living wage and to not be homeless and being a burden on those I love.
